Review: “The Truth About Forever” by Sarah Dessen

June 17, 2013

The Truth About Forever” is a story about a girl named Macy, the summer before her senior year. She has the perfect boyfriend, and a bright future. The death of her father has driven her mother into “only work, nothing else” mode, and Macy into silence. But when her boyfriend, Jason, says that he wants to take a break, Macy finds herself in a new job at Wish catering, a company full of chaos and crazy people. From Wish, Macy learns to have some fun and push her boundaries. I loved the realism of this book. I would recommend this to every teenage girl.

School Library Journal recommends this book for grades 7 and up.
